Edgar Meyer (born November 24, 1960) is an American bassist and composer. His styles include classical, bluegrass, newgrass, and jazz. He has won seven Grammy Awards and been nominated ten times.
Edgar Meyer is a MacArthur Award winner and a virtuoso of double bass, cello, and other instruments. He has performed and recorded with Yo-Yo Ma, Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and many others, and has composed several concertos and original works.
