The Five Americans, previously known as The Mutineers, were from Durant, Oklahoma but resided in Dallas, Texas for the bulk of their existence. They released 4 albums and 22 singles during their 6 year recording run (1965-1971).
Five Americans. The members of Five Americans first met in Durant, Oklahoma at South-eastern Oklahoma State University in 1962. Under the leadership of lead guitarist Mike Rabon, they formed a group called The Mutineers.
