It is based on the 1989 book Diana's Story by the writer Deric Longden, who co-wrote the script with Jack Rosenthal.

24 de ene. de 1994 · Overview. Diana and Deric have an ideal marriage: they thrive in each other's company, they're funny, and they enjoy their two grown children and Deric's dotty mother; the trouble is, Diana can no longer walk and her malady defies medical diagnosis.
Wide-Eyed and Legless plot. After an apparently harmless flu, Diana ends up in a wheelchair. Cause: a disease without a name. Fortunately, her sense of humor doesn't let her down. Diana bravely battles her pain and the medical science that doesn't take her seriously. Husband Deric is her mainstay, but their marriage comes under heavy pressure.
