Shang Xiaoyun (simplified Chinese: 尚 小 云; traditional Chinese: 尚 小 雲; pinyin: Shàng Xiǎoyún; 1900 – April 19, 1976) was one of the four great twentieth-century performers of the Dan role type in Peking opera with Mei Lanfang, Cheng Yanqiu, and Xun Huisheng.
This web page introduces the most important opera performers in China, such as Mei Lanfang, Tan Xinpei, Ma Lianliang and Zhou Xinfang. It does not mention Shang Xiaoyun, a famous female Beijing Opera actor who played Dan roles.
