Segun Akinola (born 1993) is an English composer for television and documentaries. He served as the music director and composer for Doctor Who from " The Woman Who Fell to Earth " (2018) until " The Power of the Doctor " (2022).

Segun Akinola is a composer for film and television who has strengthened many projects with his musical acumen. He is most known for his music in the latest series of 'Doctor Who', starring the first female Doctor, Jodie Whittaker.
After graduating with a BA in Composition from the prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Segun began building his credits as a composer for the screen. Before long, Segun would score BBC Two’s landmark series Black and British: A Forgotten History. His breakthrough in features came when he composed Shola Amoo’s A Moving Image.
