Masaru Hayami (速水 優, Hayami Masaru, 24 March 1925 – 17 May 2009) was a Japanese businessman, central banker, the 28th Governor of the Bank of Japan (BOJ) and a Director of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
16 de may. de 2009 · Hayami Masaru (born March 24, 1925, Kobe, Japan—died May 16, 2009, Tokyo) was a Japanese banker and business executive who, as governor (1998–2003) of the Bank of Japan (BOJ), introduced striking reforms to the country’s banking system. Hayami graduated from the Tokyo University of Commerce in 1947 and joined the BOJ that year.
