Dorothy Tristan (May 9, 1934 – January 7, 2023) was an American actress and screenwriter. She was best known for her roles in the films Klute, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, and Scarecrow. She co-wrote the films Steal the Sky and Weeds. She also wrote the films Suspended Animation, which is based on her novel, and A Piece of Eden.
Dorothy Tristan was born on 9 May 1934 in Yorkville Heights, New York City, New York, USA. She was an actress and writer, known for Klute (1971), The Looking Glass (2015) and Scarecrow (1973). She was married to John D. Hancock and Aram Avakian. She died on 7 January 2023 in LaPorte, Indiana, USA.
