Taylor was the ultimate Mama's boy, catering to his wacky mother's every demand, including often sleeping in the same bed with her when he was a grown man.

Towne had this grand story of the movie being about how the old Los Angeles was being destroyed by the new. He wrote that story to some extent but his friend Edward Taylor wrote at least half of the screenplay — certainly more than Towne did.

In recent years, RJ has collaborated w/ Hollywood biographer Scott Eyman on several books, including his memoirs. Certainly not tell-alls, Wagner grew up around Hollywood, before he went into showbiz himself, & really knew the greats.
