Texas Is the Reason. • indie rock. • post-hardcore • rock alternativo. Texas Is the Reason fue una banda de rock alternativo creada en 1994 por Norman Brannon (aka Norm Arenas) y Chris Daly en Nueva York. Tensiones en la banda provocaron su disolución en 1997.
Norman Brannon (a.k.a. Norm Arenas), guitarist for Krishnacore band Shelter, formed Texas Is the Reason with friend and fellow Krishna devotee Chris Daly (formerly of 108) in New York City. Both wished to leave the macho attitude and religious preaching of their former projects.
Formed in 1994 by Norman Brannon aka Norm Arenas (guitarist from Shelter (2) and 108 (3)) and drummer Chris Daly (from 108 (3) and Ressurection (2) ), Texas Is The Reason took its name from the Misfits ' song "Bullet". The group disbanded in 1997, briefly reformed in 2006 and 2012-2013.
Nació en Arequipa en 1976. Es nieta del poeta Pedro Arenas i Aranda, de quien heredó la inclinación por las Letras. Estudió Comunicación Audiovisual en Lima y Arequipa. Trabajó como promotora de literatura infantil y juvenil en Norma, lo que la aproximó al entorno editorial, y publicó su primera obra para niños, Una cometa, en el 2008.
Texas Is the Reason was an emo band founded by former Shelter guitarist Norm Arenas and 108 drummer Chris Daly in 1994. A foundational quartet in the post-Sunny Day Real Estate movement of emo music, Texas Is the Reason played melodious but forceful rock music before disbanding in 1997.
