Georgina Emma Mary Born, OBE FBA is a British academic, anthropologist, musicologist and musician. As a musician she is known as Georgie Born and for her work in Henry Cow and with Lindsay Cooper.
I am Professor of Anthropology and Music in the Department of Anthropology, University College London. From 2010-21 I was Professor of Music and Anthropology in the Faculty of Music, University of Oxford, and from 2006-10 I was Professor of Sociology, Anthropology and Music at the University of Cambridge.
