Simon Thomas Hinkler (born 13 November 1959) is an English guitarist, keyboard player, songwriter and producer, most notable for being the lead guitarist for the rock group The Mission from 1986 to 1990. BIOGRAPHY. IN THE BEGINNING.... In late 1985 Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams left The Sisters Of Mercy and, after enlisting the talents of Simon Hinkler and Mick Brown, formed The Mission and in early 1986 embarked on their first European tour, supporting The Cult.
