The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) is a drama school located in Barons Court London. It is the oldest specialist drama school in the British Isles and a founding member of the Federation of Drama Schools.
La Academia de Música y Arte Dramático de Londres (en inglés: London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, LAMDA) es una reconocida escuela de teatro británica ubicada en Londres. Fue fundada por Henry Wylde, su primer presidente, en 1867.
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, in short known as LAMDA, is a conservatoire that has been training artists for over 160 years. The academy’s current home is in Baron’s Court, West London, the former home of the Royal Ballet School, where it has been situated since 2003.
Founded in 1861 by Henry Wilde within St James’s Hall as a school of music and oratory, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) integrated institutions of different arts during the 20th century, becoming one of the most prestigious drama schools in the British Isles.
