Rosemary Bailey is an award-winning author of memoirs and travel books, born in Halifax, Yorkshire. She escaped to spend many years in France, and has written a trilogy of books about the Pyrenees, a region she has grown to love and know intimately.
Rosemary Bailey (1953 – 20 March 2019) was a British writer. She writes travel memoirs about France. In 2008 Bailey won the British Guild of Travel Writers' award for best narrative travel book, Love and War in the Pyrenees.
Rosemary was the author and editor of travel guides to the USA, France and Italy. She was an RLF Fellow, teaching writing skills and mentoring students, a regular tutor for the Arvon Foundation and member of the Society of Authors and the British Guild of Travel Writers.
