Delia Juanita Warrick (September 25, 1942 – October 18, 2008), known professionally as Dee Dee Warwick, was an American soul singer. Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was the sister of singer Dionne Warwick, the niece of Cissy Houston, and a first cousin of singers Whitney Houston and Leontyne Price.

It got some airplay and even made the Top 20 of the U.S. charts in early 1967; within a year, the song had been recorded by The Supremes & The Temptations, in the process becoming a pop classic.
Following years of backstage exposure to the family's ovation-filled performances, Dee Dee won easy acceptance at New York's many recording studios, singing background vocals for other performers recording sessions.
