Worcester College (/ ˈ w ʊ s t ər / ⓘ WUUST-ər) is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in England. The college was founded in 1714 by the benefaction of Sir Thomas Cookes, 2nd Baronet (1648–1701) of Norgrove, Worcestershire, whose coat of arms was adopted by the college.
The Oxford Chemistry course extends from the borders of atomic and molecular physics on the one hand to the biological sciences on the other.
Worcester College has a large law student community, with about 40 undergraduates and postgraduates in residence at any one time. The College has a long and distinguished tradition as a centre for the study of law.
Worcester College aims to provide a friendly and supportive academic and social environment where every member can thrive. In addition to a wide range of support systems, Worcester offers excellent facilities for sport as well as strong musical and theatrical traditions.
