5 de oct. de 2011 · The University of Manila was established on Oct. 5, 1913, by five college students—siblings Apolinario, Mariano and Maria de los Santos and their friends Buenaventura J. Bello and Manuel Montilla. Initially called Instituto de Manila, it first opened its doors in 1914. It was reincorporated as the University of Manila on Nov. 3, 1921.
Nació el 12 de enero de 1892 en la ciudad de Cápiz, hoy renombrada Roxas, en su honor. Sus padres fueron Gerardo Roxas y Rosario Acuña. Manuel Roxas, arriquinó y finalizó sus estudios medios en la escuela Manila High School en 1909 y obtuvo su título de abogado en la Universidad de Filipinas en 1913. [ 1 ]
