Dead Planet is the third studio album by former Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri and his band, Mondo Generator. The album was recorded in late 2005 and early 2006 at Dave Grohl 's Studio 606 and at Donner & Blitzen studios.
Dead Planet (2006–2007) In July 2006, it was reported that Perrier and Thomas had exited the band under unknown circumstances. Oliveri later renamed his band to Nick Oliveri and the Mondo Generator and signed to Mother Tongue Records, who released the album, Dead Planet in the UK and Europe in September 2006. [7]
Since his firing from Queens of the Stone Age, Oliveri has recorded an acoustic LP entitled Demolition Day that was eventually released as a second disc in the limited edition of the Mondo Generator album, Dead Planet: SonicSlowMotionTrails.
