Carlton Barrett (17 December 1950 – 17 April 1987) was a Jamaican musician best known for being the long-time drummer for Bob Marley & The Wailers.

Carlton "Carly" Barrett, 36, was murdered at his Jamaica home in 1987; despite this, and with a majority of the original musician lineup, they released their first album after Marley's death, I.D., in 1989. They followed up with an additional two studio albums, Majestic Warriors in 1991 and JAH Message in 1994.
El núcleo de The Wailers, tal y como se dio a conocer al mercado musical internacional, se configuró entre 1969 y 1970, en torno al trío Marley/Tosh/Livingston, con las aportaciones de los hermanos Aston y Carlton Barrett, procedentes de la banda The Upsetters.
