Nigel John Pegrum (born 22 January 1949) is a music producer and former drummer, most known for playing on many albums by Steeleye Span. [1]
Nigel Pegrum is the owner and operator of Pegasus Studios, a professional recording studio in Cairns, Australia. He offers music production, voice over, soundtrack and audio solutions for various projects, with over 30 years of experience and a proven track record.
Nigel Pegrum. Drums/Flute. 1973-1989. The band decided they needed a drummer when they were about to embark on a major stadium tour of the US supporting Jethro Tull. Nigel joined in June 1973 and was Steeleye's first permanent drummer and an integral part of the 'Classic' line up and the 'Folk Rock' sound that they became known for.
Membership. A third member of Steeleye Spanish, Maddy Prior recorded one of her albums on the label. Both Pegrum and Rick Kemp were members of the punk parody band The Pork Dukes in 1977, using pseudonyms. Nigel Pegrum was a drummer with The Small Faces and Steeleye Spanish before becoming a producer.
