25 de oct. de 2005 · Greorge Lynch Capture the Magic is the first full length album from North American Heavy metal group Icarus Witch, released in 2005.
Frank Aresti of Fates Warning provides a particularly ripping solo on "Xavior Holmes" and Dokken/Lynch Mob guitarist George Lynch plays the lead guitar parts on "SATO." The latter is another great cover and manages to do the original song a good degree of justice.
Capture the Magic comes close, and The Ghost of Xavior Holmes is a great song, but it is too epic to be taken all in one punch. The cover S.A.T.O. off Ozzy’s Diary of a Madman featuring George Lynch on guitars picks up the tempo, makes for a great album closer and rivals the original.
With the highly anticipated album, Capture The Magic, Icarus Witch have gone above & beyond the call. Eight new original songs of classic metal mastery plus a scorching, cover of the Ozzy classic "S.A.T.O." make this record sparkle in sea of dull wannabes.
The tagline for Pittsburgh headbangers Icarus Witch is "Bow to No Trends," and that about sums up the band's debut full-length release, Capture the Magic. While this quartet hinted at its talent on the EP Roses on White Lace , the degree of improvement between that record and this one is dramatic.
