Tegan and Sara (/ ˈ t iː ɡ ən, ˈ s ɛər ə /) is a Canadian indie pop duo formed in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta. The band is led by identical twin sisters, Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin (born September 19, 1980). Both musicians are songwriters and multi-instrumentalists.

Tegan Quin was born on 19 September 1980 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She is a writer and actress, known for High School (2022), The New Mutants (2020) and To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2018). She has been married to Sofia Snow since 2018.
