I Was / I Am is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, released on 17 September 2021. The album was released through Republic Records and UMG Recordings, Inc. Three singles "Godlight", "Animal", and "Someone Like You (featuring Joy Oladokun)" was released prior to the album's release.
Whether the tales are about introspective analysis (“Animal,” “Bad Luck”) or relationships with others (“Part of Me,” “Caves”), I Was / I Am is an album about growth, told in a beautiful blend of pop and folk that’s more confident, brighter, and more upbeat than his last.
