Kennedy dealt with the violence that surrounded him by turning inward, to the point where he jokes about learning to sing by harmonizing with fire truck and ambulance sirens. Aged 18, Kennedy left his troubled home and moved to London with his brother and his band.

This album was recorded in a live concert in Belfast and has excellent sound quality. Brian Kennedy is at his very best and most moving with his local audience and a great backing band including some lovely strings and fabulous percussion.
