Out of the Sun is the first studio album by guitarist Joey Tafolla, released in 1987 through Shrapnel Records. The album features fellow shred guitarists Paul Gilbert and Tony MacAlpine in various roles (guitar, keyboards and production).

Quien también mete solos con la guitarra (y bastantes) es Paul Gilbert, quien por entonces estaba muy volcado en sonidos metálicos y todavía no había desarrollado esa querencia por el rock más o menos ortodoxo que le caracterizaría después.
