  3. 3 de oct. de 2006 · English - England. Oct 3, 2006. #4. I had always assumed that 'Trial Men' referred to everyone present at the trial (lawyers, jury, spectators etc). But I think Maxi's interpretation makes more sense: the poet was in the prison and did not witness the murderer's trial; and surely women would have been present at the trial as well as men.

  4. 24 de may. de 2005 · If it is a woman you can say she is a "housewife" but what do you use for a man. This word is used in all the books of English as a foreing language for beginners, but only for females. I guess there must be some men doing the housework too. That means that there are two times more complaints about Howard as complaints about Fred. "Twice as many" means, "two times as many." If the boss got 20 complaints about poor Howie - he had 40 about ...

  9. 27 de dic. de 2018 · Dec 27, 2018. #2. Use "of" to show that the dozen (or however many it is) are part of a larger group. This larger group needs to be specifically identified, so it almost always requires the definite article or some other determiner, and the context must make it clear what or who these people or things are.

  10. 28 de dic. de 2007 · Beautiful is a very good word for describing a very good-looking man. And it doesn't mean feminine in this case.
