Von A wie Applied Theatre bis Z wie Zither – über 2.000 hochtalentierte Studierende aus 70 Ländern widmen sich an der Universität Mozarteum gemeinsam mit 550 Lehrenden den Künsten, ihrer Vermittlung und ihrer Erforschung.
Mozarteum University Salzburg (German: Universität Mozarteum Salzburg) is one of three affiliated but separate (it is actually a state university) entities under the “Mozarteum” moniker in Salzburg municipality; the International Mozarteum Foundation and the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg are the other two.
As diverse, fascinating and provocative, poetic and stirring, subtle and powerful, disturbing and reconciling as art, the Mozarteum University Salzburg sees itself as a place of artistic encounter and challenge. It is the only art university in Austria to combine music, performing arts and fine arts.
The Mozarteum University offers courses in music, drama, directing, opera, stage design, music, dance, art education and the liberal arts. Around 2,000 students can choose from more than 70 degree programmes. Some 550 teachers, including many famous performers, pass on their knowledge.
The Mozarteum University offers over 40 artistic and education courses in the fields of music, the performing and visual arts. The lecturers, many of whom are internationally renowned artists and teachers, pass on their knowledge and their art, thus making the university a place of lively intellectual exchange and dialogue.
