Originally released in September 1994 in parallel with the Point 3 Fire Album, the Point 3 Water Album has had a life of its own ever since. The Water album is largely the same tracks as the Fire album but with completely different mixes mostly without drums.

System 7’s third album – Point 3 – was released in two separate forms:- the Fire Album and the Water album. The Water album had mostly the same titles mixed almost entirely without drums.
Point 3 is the collective title of the third and fourth studio albums by British ambient dance band System 7. The first of the two is Point 3 – Fire Album; the second, Point 3 – Water Album. The two offer different mixes of the same material, Fire using more drums and rhythms, while Water is more ambient.
