Joe Zawinul (Josef Erich Zawinul, 7 de julio de 1932-11 de septiembre de 2007) fue un teclista de jazz y compositor austriaco. [1] Es reconocido como uno de los máximos impulsores de la música del jazz fusión. Early life and career. Zawinul grew up in Vienna, Austria. Accordion was his first instrument. When he was six or seven, he studied clarinet, violin, and piano at the Vienna Conservatory [4] ( Konservatorium Wien ). During the 1950s he was a staff pianist for Polydor.
Zawinul is the third studio album by jazz composer and pianist Joe Zawinul recorded in 1970 by Zawinul performing music arranged for two electric pianos, flute, trumpet, soprano saxophone, two contrabasses, and percussion.
JOSEF ERICH ZAWINUL was born in Landstraße district in Vienna, Austria in 1932. He was classically trained at Konzervatorium Wien, and he played on various occasions with broadcasting and studio bands before he went in United States in 1959, on a music scholarship at Berklee.
