Showcasing Tommi Iommi on lead guitar (and powering the tune with a tasty little guitar riff), 'King of the Night' found effortlessly pivoting to Deep Purple-styled hard rock. Harrison certainly had the chops for the genre, though clocking in at over seven minutes, the tune would have benefited from a bit of judicious editing.
Tony Iommi. Anthony Frank Iommi Jr. [1] (born 19 February 1948) [2] is an English musician. He co-founded the pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath, and was the band's guitarist, leader, primary composer, and sole continuous member for over five decades.
