In 1988, Joni Mitchell capped off her strange and polarising decade with Chalk Mark In A Rain Storm. It's a breezy, meditative album that mostly eschews the experiments and political bent of its predecessor, 1985's Thomas Dolby-assisted Dog Eat Dog.
