Oriel College (/ ˈ ɔː r i əl /) is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Located in Oriel Square, the college has the distinction of being the oldest royal foundation in Oxford (a title formerly claimed by University College, whose claim of being founded by King Alfred is no longer promoted).

Being a small college gives us a noticeably friendly atmosphere, with beautiful quads close to the Bodleian Library, the city centre and Christ Church Meadow.
Tourists and Other Visitors. The College is generally open for visitors between 2pm and 4pm (or dusk, whichever is earlier) each day, except in Trinity (Summer) Term, when College is not open to visitors due to student examinations. Trinity Term runs from around mid-April to the end of June.
