15 de dic. de 2022 · In honor of the Guitar Zeus box set and bundle (above) — this is Carmine Appice collaborating with big stars — we’ve decided to survey the drum legend’s impressive catalog of goodies, presenting in chronological order 20 pathways to the pantheon of the greats.
Appice first came to prominence as the drummer with the late 1960s psychedelic band Vanilla Fudge. He contributed distinctive background harmonies with bassist Tim Bogert. After five albums, the pair left Vanilla Fudge [7] to form the blues rock quartet Cactus, [8] with vocalist Rusty Day and guitarist Jim McCarty.

One of the premier showmen in rock, Appice became known worldwide for his astonishing live performances, in addition to becoming a highly sought-after session drummer, recording with countless artists throughout his career.

Drummer extraordinaire, composer and producer Carmine Appice has joined forces with multi-instrumentalist and rising studio star Fernando Perdomo to form The Appice Perdomo Project. Their album, ‘Energy Overload’ was released September 24, 2021 via Cleopatra Records.
