Edgar Hofmann has been a key player in the Bavarian Krautrock and fusion underground. He first honed his craft as jazz saxophonist in Munich underground jazz clubs, where he got to know Christian Burchard, with whom he featured in an early Amon Düül II line-up before they split-off and formed Embryo.
