Peter York (born 15 August 1942 in Redcar, Yorkshire, England) is a British rock drummer [1] who has been performing since the 1960s. Biography. Born in Redcar, he attended the Nottingham High School and learnt to play the trumpet and snare drum in a school band, he also attended Trent College.

Pete’s drum solo during “I’m A Man” earned a standing ovation from the audience of 5.000. Hardin & Yorks “Wind In The Willows” and “Pete York’s Super Drumming”, both filmed some years before, also appeared on DVD.
HERMAN RAREBELL (ex Scorpions drummer) and jazz great CHARLY ANTOLINI joined with Pete for DRUM LEGENDS, a unique drum-based show which began touring in 2005. There are already several releases on DVD featuring PETE YORK. “THE SPENCER DAVIS GROUP – UK TOUR 2002”.
