The Shangri-Las were an American girl group of the 1960s, consisting of Mary Weiss, Elizabeth "Betty" Weiss, Marguerite "Marge" Ganser, and Mary Ann Ganser. Between 1964 and 1966 several hit pop songs of theirs documented teen tragedies and melodramas.
The Shangri-las fue un grupo musical femenino muy influyente y conocido en la década de 1960 en Estados Unidos (su país de origen). Betty Weiss was one of the four sisters who sang as the Shangri-Las, a popular '60s girl group. She left the group in 1964 and married Jeremy Storch, and later became Betty Weiss Nelson.
