When Love took time off during her pregnancy, Charlene Gibson replaced her, singing lead on the Friends' third hit, "Love or Let Me Be Lonely", which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 2-9 May 1970. The Friends were prolific between 1969 and 1973, releasing six albums, with a seventh in 1976.

In 1969, however, the ensemble toured the United States and its territories, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Guam, with the album, Grazin’which included the single by the same name.

Grazin’ was followed on the charts by Going in Circles and Love or Let Me Be Lonely, which was sung by Charlene Gibson. The Friends were quite prolific from 1969-71, releasing five albums with a sixth in 1973.
