Marc Alan Johnson (born October 21, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American jazz bass player, composer and band leader. Johnson was born in Nebraska and grew up in Texas. He is married to the Brazilian jazz pianist and singer Eliane Elias.

Based on the two previous posts I decided to pick up Pure Getz. I'm sure glad I did! This is a stellar performance of Stan Getz's late period. The recording is remarkably clear making you feel like your right in the recording studio with Getz and his quartet. I enjoyed every track on this SACD, especially Blood Count.
