  4. In 1961, when bandleader Chris Barber created a ‘Blues Interval’ in his Trad. Jazz nights at the Marquee Club, he approached Alexis Korner to provide guitar, and when Korner was offered control of the Blues portion of Barber’s show, he immediately sought out his old friend’s help.
