Robert Bruce "Bob" McBride (17 November 1946 – 20 February 1998) was a Canadian rock singer-songwriter. He is best known as lead vocalist for the Canadian band Lighthouse. McBride has one Juno Award.

Bob was a brilliant singer, a born comedian who loved to make people laugh, and a complex person with a gentle and loving spirit. He is sadly missed. You can view a video of Bob McBride singing 'Love is Forever' in 1982 at the Lighthouse 'One Fine Weekend' reunion concert at Ontario Place.

11 de abr. de 2022 · Born in Toronto in 1946, Bob McBride had already taken singing lessons for several years and was also adept at the guitar by the time he attended North Collegiate Institute. He dabbled in a couple of ill-fated groups after graduating from high school, and in 1970, he joined Lighthouse , replacing original singer Pinky Dauvin.
There were some lineup changes; the band dropped from thirteen musicians to eleven, including five original members (Prokop, Hoffert, Cole, Dinovo, and Shore), and Bob McBride became the band's new lead singer.
