Aaron Corthen (May 9, 1926 – February 24, 2004), known as A.C. Reed, was an American blues saxophonist, closely associated with the Chicago blues scene from the 1940s into the 2000s.
Hot tap steel, copper, brass or aluminum pipe for installing branch connections from 3/4” to 4” valves. Pressure rated 300 psi for ambient temperatures or 15 psi for steam systems. Eliminates the need to shut down, drain, cut, refit and refill piping systems.
REED's Direct Tapping Machine is used to drill and tap water mains while under pressure, then to install 3/4'' or 1'' corporation stops in a 2-step operation. It covers a range of 4'' - 48'' cast or ductile iron and C900 PVC with the use of saddles and chain extensions (saddles sold separate).
