Swing is the seventeenth studio album released by The Manhattan Transfer in 1997 on the Atlantic Records label. This album is a collection of 1930s and 1940s swing music with The Manhattan Transfer's jazz twist. The album also features a guest appearance by Stéphane Grappelli, one of his last recordings before his death. Track listing.
In 1990, Emmons and Ray Pennington formed the Swing Shift Band and began producing a series of CDs that included big band swing, Western swing, and original country songs. Emmons began touring with The Everly Brothers in 1991, which continued until about 2001.
