The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, also known as The Bartlett, is the academic centre for the study of the built environment at University College London (UCL), United Kingdom. It is home to thirteen departments, with specialisms including architecture , urban planning , construction , project management , public policy and environmental design .
The Bartlett offers degree programmes and courses in architecture, urban design, planning, construction, public policy, environment, energy and resources. It is the UK’s largest and most multidisciplinary hub for built environment research and innovation.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, places our faculty as #1 in the world for Architecture and Built Environment Studies. The Bartlett is where the UK’s most ‘World Leading’ and ‘Internationally Excellent’ built environment research is undertaken (REF 2021).
