Rite Time is the eleventh and final studio album by the German rock band Can. Though Can had not yet split up, it is considered a reunion album because of the time elapsed since the band's previous album, Can, was released in 1979.
Rite Time sees the return of the band's original singer, Malcolm Mooney, who had left the group in 1970 after their debut album Monster Movie. Malcolm Mooney – lead vocals. Michael Karoli – guitar, chorus vocals, pocket organ, bass.
The remaining instrumentation is, as always, flexible. Guitarist Michael Karoli could sub on violin when needed; drummer Jaki Liebezeit doubled on trumpet and piano.
Michael Karoli (29 April 1948 – 17 November 2001) was a German guitarist, violinist and composer. He was a founding member of the influential krautrock band Can.
