Derek Pierce, also known as D-rek or Dayreka, played drums in The Goats, a hip hop act from Philadelphia, USA.
Weapon of Choice is a band from Los Angeles fronted by bass player Lonnie Marshall. They play a mixture of rock, alternative, funk, hip hop, jazz and reggae which Marshall dubbed "Nutmeg". [1] . Others refer to their music as P-Funk style music. [2] [3]

10 de mar. de 1995 · In addition to bassist/vocalist Marshall and co-founder Keefus Ciancia on keyboards, Weapon of Choice includes singer Audra Cunningham, singer Mark Cross, guitarist Finn Hammer, trombonist Tom-bone Ralls, and drummer Derek "D-Rek" Pierce. The band released its debut album, Nutmeg Sez Bozo the Town, in 1993, and followed it with 1995's Highperspice.
Except for the replacement of drummer Scott Garrett with Derek "D-Rek" Pierce, the original line-up remained. In addition, however, were a number of enticing guests, including Arik Marshall, vocalists Mary Harris (Spearhead) and Vicki Calhoun, P-Funk visual artist Overton Lloyd and violinist Lili Hayden.
