Dan Stuart. Thanks to all who came to shows, read the books, and listened to the albums. It's been a wild ride, and I hope to continue writing and playing well into the future. There will be no more records, but a few novels are in the works.
Stuart released a third solo album, Marlowe's Revenge, recorded with Mexican band Twin Tones in 2015, mixed by JD Foster, and released February 2016. Summer 2018, Stuart released The Unfortunate Demise of Marlowe Billings, recorded with producer/guitarist Danny Amis (Los Straitjackets, Raybeats).
Marlowe's Revenge started in a concrete bunker in Oaxaca, where Daniel Sanchez Jimenez was more used to recording Oaxacan banda than depressed gabachos. Stuart wandered in one day with a dozen songs written on an opened tuned cracked Martin that mirrored Stuart's psyche perfectly.
