Martyn J Adelman or Martin, also known as Max Adelman (born 1947) is a British photographer and former drummer. Adelman learnt to play drums aged 14 and soon formed his first group, The Insteps, also including John Altman. A subsequent band included Peter Knight, later of Steeleye Span.
synmusic.net. The Syn are an English band that were active from 1965 to 1967, and then reunited as a progressive rock band in 2004. The band was founded by Steve Nardelli, Chris Squire, Andrew Pryce Jackman, Martyn Adelman and John Painter.
The Syn was later joined by the members of a band called THE SELFS comprised by Chris SQUIRE (bass), Andrew Jackman (keyboards) and Martyn Adelman (drums). Shortly afer, original guitarist Painter was replaced by Peter BANKS and Martyn Adelman left to be replaced by Icelandic Gunnar Hákonarson behind the drums.
