The Brecker Brothers were a jazz fusion music duo consisting of siblings Michael Brecker and Randy Brecker. Michael played saxophone, flute, and EWI, and Randy played trumpet and flugelhorn. The brothers attended Cheltenham High School in Wyncote, Pennsylvania.

At the 1976 Grammy Awards the album received three nominations, for Best R&B Instrumental Performance ("Sneakin’ up Behind You"), Best New Artist and Best Instrumental Arrangement (Randy Brecker for "Some Skunk Funk").
Randy Brecker has received the award four times total, once along with his brother Michael as the duo known as Brecker Brothers. The group Béla Fleck and the Flecktones has received the award twice.
1980 – appeared on single Same Old Lang Syne, Dan Fogelberg. 1980 – toured Europe in July/August, Japan in September with Brecker Brothers. 1980/Late – joined Steps, collaborative group with Mike Mainieri – started as Steps w/Japanese Columbia contract, then became Steps Ahead w/US album releases.
The Brecker Brothers was the musical duo of Michael (saxophone and EWI) and Randy Brecker (trumpet, flugelhorn), who recorded commercially successful jazz fusion albums together in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
With so much activity, Michael and Randy each won the NARAS MVP award so many years in a row that they had to be retired from their respective instrumental categories. After a hiatus of nearly a decade, the Brothers reunited in 1992 for the GRP album Return of the Brecker Brothers, which earned three Grammy nominations.
