White City is a district of London, England, in the northern part of Shepherd's Bush in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, 5 miles (8 km) west-northwest of Charing Cross. White City is home to Television Centre, White City Place, Westfield London and Loftus Road, the home stadium of Queens Park Rangers F.C.
White City | Hidden London. White City, Hammersmith & Fulham. The north-western part of Shepherd’s Bush, dominated by municipally built housing in the west and modern commercial and academic buildings in the east. Until well into the 19th century this was a desolate area of scrubby farmland and brickfields bisected by just one track: Wood Lane.
White City Stadium in London, England, was built for the 1908 Summer Olympics. It hosted the finish of the first modern marathon and swimming, speedway, boxing, show jumping, athletics, stock car racing, concerts and a match at the 1966 World Cup .
Tel Aviv was founded in 1909 and developed rapidly under the British Mandate in Palestine. The area of the White City forms its central part, and is based on the urban master plan by Sir Patrick Geddes (1925-27), one of the foremost theorists in the early modern period.

The neighbourhood, caught right in between Shepherd's Bush and the east of Acton, is so modern looking it appears somewhat futuristic.. The aforementioned building is a homage to 21st century architectural aesthetics of sleekness, and sunlight reflecting off all-glass walls.

Fue construido ex profeso para ellos y lo hizo en un tiempo récord de diez meses, siendo inaugurado por el entonces rey Eduardo VII en abril de 1908.
