Terry Rae – Hollywood Stars. The Hollywood Stars are one of the great lost rock groups of the 70s. Fated for greatness with a sound that perfectly fused hard rock, glam and proto-punk, it was only misfortune that hindered the band living up to their name.
In 1973, impresario and well-known Hollywood figure, Kim Fowley, brought the original band together: Mark Anthony (guitar and vocals), Ruben de Fuentes (lead guitar), Scott Phares (vocals), Terry Rae (drums and vocals), and Gary van Dyke (bass).
14 de may. de 2021 · MEET THE BAND Band Member. Terry started playing surf music 1964 with The Scamblers. In 1965, he put together the Driftones that later became The Yellow Payges. In 1966, Terry joined the Palace Guard – the house band at the Hullabaloo Club in Hollywood, replacing Emmit Rhodes.
