Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose is the ninth studio album by Meat Loaf, and the third and final album in the Bat Out of Hell trilogy. It was released in Ireland on October 20, 2006, 29 years after Bat Out of Hell (1977), and 13 years after Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell (1993).

The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be is a gospel-style ballad with even some country-leenings but it gells together like all hell. The strong choirs back up Loaf and the guest vocalist Jennifer Hudson into the heavens and the emotion is there again.
Three are male-female duets featuring Marion Raven, Patti Russo and Jennifer Hudson, lending variety to the recording and continuing the trend from the first Bat record's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." The guitar solos work with the songs without going overboard.
